at FinnFest USA '99
University of Washington is the home of one of the largest Finnish programs in the US. The Finnish students are actively involved in planning a program that would appeal to them and their counterparts all over the country and the world. Come visit the Virtual Finland in Seattle. Meet your peers at a disco dance, and no, it’s not a polka disco. Watch today’s Finnish movies and television. How about a postfest hike to the Cascade Mountains with an introduction to the Finnish orienteering?
FINNFEST USA ’99 YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM
We’re working hard to plan an exciting set of events for young people at FinnFest USA ’99. So far we’ve planned an opening night picnic at Golden Gardens on Puget Sound. And we’ve planned the Exel Sähly demonstration and mini-tournament-that’s floorball in English. We’ve also put together a fantastic end to FinnFest, and a great alternative to the formal banquet. It’s a cruise of Lake Washington on a luxury boat that can fit up to 250 people.
The program for young people at FinnFest will be fantastic. We hope you’re planning to come to Seattle to meet Americans, Canadians and Finns, and to get involved in this summer’s exciting FinnFest USA '99 program.

| We’re all going to the beach for a vollyeball, frisbee, a picnic, and even a campfire. This’ll be a great chance to get to know the other people at FinnFest. |

| Do you know what Sähly is? It’s one of the most popular sports in Finland. Come find out why everyone loves it. All you need to bring is yourself, and a pair of court shoes. |

| LAKE WASHINGTON CRUISE | If you don’t feel like going to the banquet, come on a cruise instead. Not only will we peek in on Bill Gates’ house, there’ll be food, refreshments and music for everyone who wants to come. It’ll be a great final party with all the friends you’ve made at FinnFest! |
